Job Description:
The Biomedical Researcher in Sharjah will focus on advancing scientific knowledge and medical treatments through rigorous research in biology, genetics, pharmacology, or disease pathology. This position is research-intensive, involving hypothesis development, experiment design, and data analysis. The researcher will carry out both in vitro and in vivo studies to investigate disease mechanisms, identify therapeutic targets, and support the development of new diagnostics or drug candidates.
The role involves securing research grants, collaborating with academic and clinical institutions, and publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals. Biomedical Researchers are expected to keep up with current scientific literature, utilize state-of-the-art technologies such as CRISPR, next-gen sequencing, or bioinformatics platforms, and ensure ethical conduct throughout all stages of research. Responsibilities also include mentoring junior scientists, maintaining accurate lab records, and contributing to the patenting and commercialization of biomedical innovations. By working closely with clinicians and pharmaceutical partners, the researcher bridges the gap between lab discoveries and real-world medical applications.
Job Requirement:
A Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Molecular Biology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline is preferred, with 3–6 years of research experience in academic or clinical research settings. Candidates should have a strong publication record and experience with techniques such as PCR, ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell culture. Strong analytical, statistical, and scientific writing skills are essential. Familiarity with research ethics, clinical trials, and grant writing is required. Candidates must demonstrate a passion for inquiry, meticulous documentation practices, and the ability to manage multiple research projects in a collaborative environment.
