Job Description:
A Bioengineering Specialist in Al Ain is tasked with applying principles of biology and engineering to design and develop healthcare solutions, biomedical devices, and biological systems for clinical use. This position involves working on the research and development of innovative medical technologies such as prosthetics, imaging systems, tissue engineering, and bio-instrumentation. The specialist will be responsible for conducting feasibility studies, modeling biological systems, and translating research into practical medical applications that improve patient care and therapeutic outcomes.
The role requires close collaboration with medical professionals, engineers, and regulatory teams to ensure all designs meet safety, functionality, and ethical standards. A key part of the job includes the evaluation and integration of emerging biotechnologies into healthcare systems, as well as contributing to scientific publications and patent applications. Additional responsibilities include maintaining detailed technical documentation, supporting the clinical testing process, and ensuring that prototypes adhere to health regulatory frameworks such as ISO 13485 and FDA regulations. A blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on laboratory experience is crucial in this interdisciplinary role, which lies at the forefront of modern healthcare innovation.
Job Requirement:
A master’s or doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or a closely related discipline is preferred. Candidates should have at least 3–5 years of experience in bioengineering research or medical product development. Strong knowledge of cell and tissue engineering, computational biology, biomaterials, and medical imaging systems is required. Proficiency in software such as MATLAB, SolidWorks, or LabVIEW is desirable. The role demands excellent research, technical writing, and communication skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and manage multiple projects under regulatory constraints.
