Job Description:
The Biotech Process Engineer in Ajman is responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling up biotechnological processes for the production of biological drugs, enzymes, or biomaterials. This role combines engineering principles with biological sciences to ensure efficient, reproducible, and compliant manufacturing processes in upstream and downstream bioprocessing.
Key tasks include developing bioreactor protocols, optimizing fermentation and purification processes, implementing automation solutions, and analyzing process data to improve yields and quality. The engineer collaborates with R&D, production, and QA/QC teams to validate process parameters and ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, and regulatory standards. This position also supports technology transfers and troubleshooting in commercial production.
Job Requirement:
A degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or Bioprocess Engineering is required; a master’s is preferred. At least 3–5 years of experience in biotech manufacturing or process engineering is essential. Familiarity with bioreactors, chromatography systems, filtration units, and cleanroom operations is expected. Candidates should have knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EMA) and strong skills in data analysis, process simulation, and documentation. Experience with PAT/QbD approaches is a strong advantage.
