Job Description: The Structural Fabricator in the Shipbuilding & Ship Machinery industry in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is responsible for fabricating and assembling structural components used in the construction and repair of ships and ship machinery. The primary duties and responsibilities may include: Fabrication: Fabricate structural components, such as plates, beams, frames, and bulkheads, according to technical drawings and specifications. Material Preparation: Prepare materials by cutting, shaping, and bending them to the required dimensions using tools and machinery. Welding and Joining: Perform welding and joining operations to connect and secure structural components, ensuring proper alignment and strength. Assembly: Assemble fabricated components to construct ship structures, including hulls, decks, superstructures, and compartments. Quality Control: Inspect fabricated and assembled structures to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Measurement and Layout: Use measuring tools and techniques to accurately layout and position structural components for fabrication and assembly. Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand the design and assembly requirements. Equipment Operation: Operate various tools and equipment, such as cutting machines, welding machines, and overhead cranes, safely and efficiently. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, welders, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects.
Job Requirement: Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Relevant certifications or training in structural fabrication. Previous experience in structural fabrication, preferably in the shipbuilding or related industry. Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints. Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and equipment. Familiarity with welding and joining processes. Attention to detail and precision in work.
