Job Description:

The Apparel Packaging Operator in Calgary is responsible for managing the final stage of garment preparation before distribution to retailers or customers. This role ensures that clothing products are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared in compliance with company standards and client requirements. Duties include operating packaging equipment, folding and inserting garments into protective covers, attaching size or brand labels, and sealing items for shipment. Operators also prepare cartons, stack packaged goods, and coordinate with logistics teams for timely dispatch.

The position requires inspecting garments prior to packaging to confirm quality, verifying order details, and ensuring correct quantities are packed per shipment. Operators may also assist in organizing packaged products in storage areas, updating inventory logs, and maintaining a clean, orderly packaging workspace. Efficiency, accuracy, and attention to presentation are key, as the packaging process directly affects product appearance and customer satisfaction.

By ensuring garments are professionally packaged and shipped accurately, the Apparel Packaging Operator plays a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the apparel production and distribution chain in Calgary.

Job Requirement:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in apparel packaging, warehouse operations, or textile production is beneficial but not required.

Skills:

Ability to operate basic packaging equipment and tools.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

Accuracy in labeling, sealing, and order verification.

Attention to detail to ensure correct packing and shipment preparation.

Teamwork and communication skills for coordination with production and logistics teams.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long hours, handle repetitive tasks, and lift boxes up to 20–25 kg.

Language: Basic English communication required; multilingual skills are an asset in Calgary’s diverse workforce.
