Responsibilities include unrolling fabric from bolts, inspecting for flaws, and laying fabric manually or with automated spreading machines according to production requirements.

The technician must ensure that fabric grain, print alignment, and nap direction are consistent to avoid errors in cutting and sewing. This role requires close collaboration with fabric cutters, pattern makers, and sewing operators to maintain workflow efficiency.

Additionally, the Cloth Laying Technician is responsible for keeping fabric handling equipment in good condition, following workplace safety procedures, and maintaining accurate production records.
