Job Description: We are seeking a highly accomplished and dedicated individual to join our team as the Associate Head of Physics in Surrey, Canada. As the Associate Head of Physics in the Engineering & Architecture industry, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing the physics department, fostering academic excellence, and contributing to the overall growth and development of the department. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and strategic direction to the physics department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality education and research programs. Collaborate with faculty members to develop and enhance the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with industry trends and standards. Mentor and support junior faculty members, encouraging their professional growth and development. Oversee the recruitment and evaluation of teaching staff, ensuring the department maintains a highly qualified and diverse faculty. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students, promoting their engagement and success. Lead and participate in research activities, securing grants and funding for research projects. Establish and maintain collaborations with industry partners, promoting the application of physics principles in engineering and architectural practices. Contribute to academic committees and participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives.

Job Requirement: Ph.D. in Physics or a related field, with a strong academic background and research expertise. Several years of experience in teaching and research in the field of physics, preferably in the Engineering & Architecture industry. Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with experience in overseeing academic departments or programs. Proven track record of excellence in teaching and mentoring students, with a commitment to fostering their intellectual growth and development. Strong knowledge and expertise in physics principles and their applications, with a focus on areas relevant to the Engineering & Architecture industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and industry partners. Ability to lead and contribute to research projects, securing grants and funding for research initiatives. Familiarity with accreditation processes and quality assurance standards in higher education. Strong organizational and administrative skills to manage departmental operations and initiatives. Commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment. Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
