Job Description: We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Biologist to join our team in Halifax, Canada. As a Senior Biologist in the Engineering & Architecture industry, you will play a critical role in conducting biological surveys, assessing ecological impacts, and providing expertise on environmental conservation and mitigation measures. Responsibilities: Conduct field surveys to assess biodiversity, monitor wildlife populations, and evaluate habitat conditions. Analyze collected data and prepare comprehensive reports on ecological findings, impact assessments, and mitigation plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate biological considerations into engineering and architectural designs. Ensure compliance with relevant environmental regulations, permits, and mitigation requirements. Provide expert advice on ecological restoration, conservation, and sustainable development practices. Lead and mentor junior biologists, providing guidance and support on field methodologies and data analysis. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to communicate findings and recommendations. Stay updated on emerging research, industry trends, and best practices in biological sciences and environmental management.

Job Requirement: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Biologist, preferably in the Engineering & Architecture industry. In-depth knowledge of biological principles, ecological processes, and environmental regulations. Strong expertise in conducting field surveys, data collection, and analysis related to biodiversity, habitat assessment, and ecological impact assessments. Proficiency in using specialized software and tools for data analysis and modeling. Experience in preparing and reviewing environmental reports, impact assessments, and mitigation plans. Familiarity with relevant legislation and permitting processes. Ability to lead and manage a team of biologists and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders. Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting research and producing reports. Eligibility to work in Canada is required.
