Job Description:

The Aisle Stocking Assistant is responsible for the efficient and orderly stocking of merchandise on the sales floor. This role involves working within specific aisles to ensure that shelves are full, products are front-faced, and the area is clean. The assistant’s duties include bringing stock from the backroom, checking product dates and condition, and correctly placing items on the shelves according to the store’s planogram. The position requires careful attention to detail to ensure products are in the right place and that the store maintains a professional appearance. The assistant must also be prepared to answer basic customer questions and direct them to other staff members for more complex inquiries. The work is fundamental to the store's daily operations, directly impacting product availability and the customer shopping experience.

Job Requirement:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. While prior experience is not mandatory, a background in a retail or grocery environment is beneficial. The candidate must be physically capable of lifting and moving boxes (up to 30 lbs) and standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. A strong sense of organization and attention to detail are crucial for ensuring shelves are stocked correctly. The ideal candidate is a reliable and hard-working individual who can work efficiently, often in a fast-paced environment. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary. The position requires a flexible schedule, as stocking is often done before or after store hours to minimize disruption.
