Job Description:
The Warehouse Lift Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of goods within the store’s warehouse or back-of-house area. This role involves operating a lift truck (forklift) to move pallets of merchandise, load and unload trucks, and stack items in high-level storage racks. The driver’s duties include conducting daily safety checks of the equipment, following all safety protocols, and ensuring the organized and secure placement of goods. This position requires a high level of skill and attention to detail to prevent accidents and damage to products. The driver works closely with the stockroom and receiving teams to manage the flow of inventory and ensure that products are easily accessible for replenishment. Their role is essential for maintaining the operational efficiency of the entire store.
Job Requirement:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma and a valid and current lift truck (forklift) certification. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating a lift truck in a warehouse or retail environment is required. The candidate must have a deep understanding of lift truck safety procedures and a strong commitment to safe work practices. Physical fitness is required, including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment. Excellent spatial awareness and attention to detail are crucial for navigating tight spaces and stacking goods correctly. The ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, is often required.
