We are currently seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Agricultural Packing Assistant to support our post-harvest operations in Rome, Italy. This role plays a vital part in preparing fresh agricultural products—such as fruits, vegetables, and herbs—for distribution to local and international markets. The Packing Assistant ensures that products are correctly sorted, graded, packed, and labeled according to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort and inspect produce for quality, ripeness, and visible defects
Weigh, measure, and pack products into boxes, crates, or containers following specific packaging guidelines
Label packages accurately with product, batch, and traceability information
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the packing area in compliance with food safety standards
Operate basic packing machinery or assist in manual packaging processes
Assist with the loading and unloading of produce in the packing facility
Report any inconsistencies, damages, or issues with equipment to the supervisor
Ensure minimal product waste through careful handling and packaging
