Job Description:
The Aquatic Facility Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of aquatic systems within agricultural and aquaculture facilities in Florence. This role supports the functionality of water-based environments, such as fish farms, aquaponics systems, or water treatment facilities, crucial to the Agriculture & Fisheries sector.

Key duties include monitoring water quality, testing parameters like pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen, and temperature, and adjusting treatments to maintain optimal conditions for aquatic life. The technician is responsible for maintaining filtration systems, pumps, aerators, and other equipment necessary for water circulation and health. Regular inspections of tanks, ponds, and other aquatic enclosures are conducted to identify any mechanical failures, leaks, or potential issues.

The Aquatic Facility Technician works closely with other specialists to ensure the health of aquatic organisms, including providing technical support for breeding, feeding, and harvesting processes. This role also requires keeping detailed records of water quality, equipment maintenance, and operational reports for compliance with health and environmental regulations.
