Job Description:
The Custodial Team Leader in the Agriculture & Fisheries sector is responsible for overseeing cleaning and sanitation operations across agricultural and aquaculture facilities in Rome. This supervisory role ensures that cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are consistently met to support food safety, worker health, and biosecurity compliance.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and supervising a team of custodial staff, assigning daily tasks, and monitoring the completion and quality of cleaning activities in production areas, storage facilities, laboratories, and common spaces. The Team Leader ensures that all work is performed according to established sanitation protocols, using approved cleaning equipment and chemical agents safely and effectively.
Additional duties include training new custodial personnel, managing cleaning supply inventories, inspecting facilities to identify maintenance needs, and reporting issues to site management. The Custodial Team Leader may also perform hands-on cleaning tasks when required.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential in this role, along with a deep understanding of health and safety regulations within agricultural and aquaculture operations.
Requirements:
