Strong knowledge of drilling operations, equipment, and terminology is essential. Proficiency in drilling data acquisition and management software such as Landmark, WellView, OpenWells, or similar platforms is required. Experience with data visualization and interpretation tools is highly desirable.
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to monitor and verify real-time drilling parameters including rate of penetration, mud properties, torque, and pressure. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary to identify anomalies and support troubleshooting efforts.
Excellent organizational skills are important for maintaining accurate records and databases, as well as preparing detailed reports in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
