Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Drilling Engineer to join our team in Rome, Italy. As a Drilling Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing drilling operations in the energy and utilities sector. Your expertise in drilling techniques, project management, and safety protocols will contribute to the successful execution of drilling projects. Key Responsibilities: Drilling Planning and Design: Plan and design drilling operations, considering geological data, well objectives, and drilling parameters. Develop drilling programs and procedures, including well trajectories, casing programs, drilling fluids, and equipment specifications. Equipment and Materials Procurement: Identify and procure necessary drilling equipment, materials, and services. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project requirements. Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and hazard analysis to identify potential drilling hazards and risks. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and safety protocols to ensure safe and efficient operations. Drilling Operations Supervision: Supervise drilling operations on-site, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to drilling plans, safety guidelines, and environmental regulations. Provide technical guidance and support to drilling crews and contractors. Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor drilling performance, including drilling rates, bit wear, and equipment performance. Identify areas for improvement and implement measures to optimize drilling efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Technical Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analyze drilling data, logs, and reports to identify drilling problems and propose solutions. Collaborate with geologists, reservoir engineers, and other stakeholders to optimize well productivity. Well Control and Emergency Response: Develop well control plans and emergency response procedures. Ensure drilling crews are trained in well control techniques and emergency procedures to mitigate potential well control incidents. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare drilling reports, progress updates, and technical documentation. Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, equipment inspections, and maintenance activities. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international drilling regulations, environmental standards, and health and safety guidelines. Collaborate with regulatory bodies and government agencies as required. Continuous Learning and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices, technological advancements, and drilling techniques. Participate in professional development activities, training programs, and conferences.

Job Requirement: Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is preferred. Proven experience as a Drilling Engineer, preferably in the energy and utilities sector. Strong knowledge of drilling techniques, well design, and drilling equipment. Proficiency in drilling software and simulation tools. Familiarity with drilling regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Project management skills, including planning and coordination. Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment. Willingness to work in remote locations and travel as required. Fluency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
