We are looking for a motivated Driver Assistant to support transportation operations within the agriculture and fisheries sectors in Rome. This role involves assisting drivers with loading and unloading goods, managing documentation, and ensuring smooth logistics during deliveries and transport of agricultural products, equipment, and supplies.
The Driver Assistant will help organize cargo, secure loads, and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the vehicle. Additionally, the assistant will communicate with warehouse staff, clients, and drivers to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly. Basic knowledge of agriculture and fisheries products will be beneficial to understand handling requirements.
The role demands physical stamina to handle manual labor, attention to detail for accurate paperwork, and good interpersonal skills for teamwork and customer interactions. The assistant may also accompany drivers on routes, helping navigate and ensuring timely deliveries.
Candidates should have a valid Italian driver’s license (Patente B) or be willing to obtain one soon, possess good organizational skills, and be adaptable to changing tasks and schedules. Prior experience in logistics or transportation in agriculture or fisheries will be an advantage.
This position supports the efficient and safe movement of goods essential to agriculture and fisheries, requiring flexibility for early starts, long hours, and occasional weekend work.

Communication Skills: Basic proficiency in Italian to communicate effectively with drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers. Teamwork and problem-solving abilities are important.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time efficiently, assist with route planning, and support drivers in maintaining schedules and delivery accuracy.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge or willingness to learn safety procedures related to transportation, cargo handling, and vehicle maintenance.
Flexibility: Willingness to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends during busy agricultural or fisheries seasons.
Reliability: Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision or independently as required.
