Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of a commercial farm located in Rome, Italy, within the Agriculture & Fisheries sector. The Farm Manager will be responsible for managing crop or livestock production (or both), supervising staff, and ensuring that all agricultural activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with local and EU regulations.
Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating planting or breeding schedules, managing farm workers and seasonal labor, monitoring soil health and crop or animal conditions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring optimal use of resources such as water, feed, and fertilizers. The Farm Manager will also track production data, budgets, and operational performance, while identifying opportunities for innovation and sustainability.
This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and technical knowledge of modern farming methods and machinery. A solid understanding of agricultural compliance, safety standards, and environmental practices is essential.
