The Farm Tractor Driver plays a vital role in supporting agricultural operations by operating tractors and related machinery to assist with planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities. Working within the Agriculture & Fisheries sector in Rome, the driver ensures timely and efficient fieldwork in support of crop and livestock production.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate farm tractors and attached equipment such as plows, seeders, sprayers, and trailers for various agricultural tasks.
Transport feed, tools, harvested crops, and other materials within the farm or to nearby storage and processing facilities.
Assist with soil preparation, fertilizing, irrigation, and pest control operations under the guidance of farm supervisors.
Conduct routine inspections, cleaning, and minor maintenance of tractors and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Follow all safety regulations and farm protocols while working in different weather and terrain conditions.
Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and machinery hours for reporting and maintenance planning.
Collaborate with other farm workers and support seasonal tasks, including harvesting and packaging.
