The Seasonal Farm Picker plays a crucial role in the harvesting operations of farms in and around Florence, Italy. This position involves the manual picking of fruits, vegetables, or other crops during peak harvest periods, supporting the timely collection and preparation of produce for local and national distribution. Working under the Agriculture & Fisheries sector, the Seasonal Farm Picker ensures that crops are harvested efficiently, safely, and with attention to quality standards.
Key responsibilities include identifying ripe produce, picking and collecting crops by hand or using basic tools, and sorting and packing items for transportation. Pickers must handle produce carefully to avoid bruising or damage and may also be involved in cleaning, labeling, or weighing tasks.
This is a physically demanding role requiring the ability to work long hours outdoors, often in hot or changing weather conditions. Successful candidates must be reliable, able to follow instructions, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
