Job Description:
The Aisle Stocking Assistant plays a key role in maintaining fully stocked and organized aisles throughout the retail floor. This position supports both customer service and sales efforts by ensuring products are accessible, correctly priced, and neatly displayed. Responsibilities include restocking shelves with merchandise from the stockroom, organizing products according to store layout and planograms, rotating stock to maintain freshness, and checking for expired or damaged goods. Assistants must also maintain clean aisle spaces, report inventory shortages, and occasionally help customers locate items or answer product-related questions. They may also assist with labeling products, moving pallets using trolleys, and preparing displays for promotional events. This role is highly physical and demands constant movement, lifting, and bending throughout the shift.
Job Requirement:
A minimum of a high school diploma is required. Previous experience in retail or stock management is an advantage. Candidates should have strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and a focus on detail. Physical fitness is essential due to lifting and extended periods of standing or walking. Time management skills are critical, as is the ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision. A customer-oriented attitude, combined with a commitment to safety and cleanliness, is expected. Basic proficiency in reading and counting for inventory and labeling tasks is also required.
