Job Description:
The Dock Loader is a key support role within the logistics chain of a retail store or distribution center in Al Ahmadi. This position involves loading and unloading delivery trucks at the dock area, handling merchandise carefully, and ensuring efficient flow of products to and from the warehouse. The dock loader works closely with delivery drivers, receiving clerks, and warehouse staff.
Core tasks include operating pallet jacks or forklifts, verifying shipment documents, checking product labels and codes, inspecting goods for damage, and assisting in the sorting and staging of merchandise. The role also involves cleaning the dock area, managing pallets and bins, and reporting any shipment discrepancies.
This position requires physical endurance, knowledge of safety standards, and an organized approach to material handling. Speed and efficiency, without compromising safety or accuracy, are essential.
Job Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in logistics, warehouse loading, or retail dock operations
Familiarity with loading/unloading equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts
Physically capable of lifting heavy loads and working in outdoor/warehouse settings
Attention to safety and correct stacking and securing of items
Strong coordination and time management skills
Able to read and interpret delivery dockets and shipment labels
Team-oriented, reliable, and punctual
Willingness to work in shifts, including early mornings or late evenings
Basic understanding of inventory flow and goods handling processes
