Job Description:
The Boxing and Wrapping Associate is responsible for preparing customer purchases and merchandise for gifting, transport, or delivery in retail stores located in Salmiyah. This position is especially active during promotional seasons, holidays, and sales events where gift presentation and protection of goods are crucial. The associate ensures each item is wrapped neatly, securely boxed, and presented according to store standards or customer specifications.
Key responsibilities include selecting appropriate wrapping or boxing materials, checking item dimensions for proper fit, applying ribbons, tags, and stickers, and maintaining a clean and organized wrapping station. Associates must also identify fragile or unusual-shaped products that require special packing techniques to prevent damage.
In stores offering premium packaging services, the associate may interact directly with customers to understand specific requests, preferences, or packaging themes. The associate collaborates with the cashiers, sales team, and dispatch staff to ensure accurate and timely packing. This role demands manual dexterity, aesthetic sense, and patience, especially during high-traffic retail periods.
Job Requirement:
High school education or vocational certification in customer service is preferred
At least 1 year of experience in packaging, wrapping, or retail support services
Attention to detail and a keen sense of aesthetics
Ability to wrap and package items quickly and neatly
Strong communication skills for handling customer requests
Familiarity with handling delicate or irregularly-shaped products
Ability to stand for extended periods and manage repetitive tasks
Good hand-eye coordination and neatness in wrapping
Punctuality and ability to work under pressure
Availability to work extended hours during festivals, events, or sales
