Job Description:
The Cardiac Diagnostic Technician in Mahboula plays an essential role in performing diagnostic tests to assess the heart’s function and help in the diagnosis of cardiac conditions. They utilize a variety of technologies, including electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and Holter monitors, to assess patients' heart rhythms and vascular health.
The technician is responsible for preparing patients for diagnostic procedures by explaining the tests, ensuring they are relaxed and comfortable, and properly placing sensors or electrodes on the patient’s body. They monitor patient responses during testing, including monitoring heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, while maintaining clear communication with healthcare providers to report any abnormalities or issues. They also ensure the proper maintenance and calibration of diagnostic equipment.
This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills. The technician works closely with cardiologists to obtain accurate readings that help guide treatment plans.
