The Certified Phlebotomy Technician in Qurain is a trained professional responsible for drawing blood samples from patients for laboratory testing, transfusions, donations, or research purposes. This role is essential in supporting diagnostic and treatment decisions within healthcare facilities, as accurate blood collection and handling are critical for laboratory accuracy.
Key tasks include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, preparing blood draw equipment, locating veins, performing venipuncture or finger sticks, and labeling specimens accurately. The technician also ensures proper storage and transport of collected samples and adheres to strict infection control and patient safety protocols.
