Job Description:
The Access Control Technician in Al Gharrafa is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of electronic access control systems in commercial, institutional, and residential buildings. These systems include key card readers, biometric scanners, electronic locks, gate operators, and integrated security panels. The technician ensures all access points are secured according to building specifications and client requirements, working under the direction of project managers and security engineers.
Daily duties involve reading and interpreting blueprints, installing hardware and control panels, connecting low-voltage wiring, testing system functions, and integrating components with existing IT or security infrastructure. The technician will also be responsible for diagnosing faults, upgrading outdated systems, and providing routine maintenance to ensure maximum reliability and user access efficiency.
This role contributes directly to physical security and regulatory compliance in Qatar’s modern building developments. Work often involves coordination with electricians, IT specialists, and general contractors to meet tight project deadlines and safety standards.
