Job Description:
The Asphalt Compaction Operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery, particularly asphalt rollers, to compact asphalt during road construction and maintenance projects in Al Daayen, Qatar. This role ensures that asphalt is compacted to the required density and smoothness, ensuring the durability and quality of paved surfaces.
Key responsibilities include operating the asphalt roller to achieve uniform compaction of hot mix asphalt on roadways, parking lots, and other construction sites. The operator will monitor the compaction process to meet project specifications, adjust machine settings as needed, and inspect the quality of the asphalt surface after compaction. The operator is also responsible for performing regular maintenance checks on the equipment, including lubrication, tire pressure, and basic mechanical troubleshooting.
Additionally, the Asphalt Compaction Operator will collaborate with other team members and site supervisors to ensure the project progresses according to schedule. Adherence to safety guidelines and construction site protocols is crucial to avoid accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
