Job Description:
The Android Developer in Al Wakrah is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android mobile applications that cater to the IT and telecommunications industry. The developer collaborates with cross-functional teams including product managers, UI/UX designers, and backend engineers to build scalable, user-friendly apps aligned with business objectives.
Key responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code using Java or Kotlin, integrating APIs and third-party services, debugging and troubleshooting app issues, and ensuring the performance, security, and responsiveness of applications. The Android Developer also keeps abreast of the latest Android development trends, tools, and best practices to ensure innovative and up-to-date mobile solutions supporting Qatar’s digital ecosystem.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Android app development.
Skills:
Proficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of material design principles and mobile UI/UX standards.
Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
Understanding of app publishing processes on Google Play Store.
Certifications: Relevant certifications in Android development are an advantage.
Language: Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
