Job Description:
The Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for operating truck-mounted or trailer-mounted concrete pumps to deliver concrete to high or hard-to-reach construction areas in Al Gharrafa, Qatar. This role is essential for high-rise projects, foundation works, and infrastructure developments where precise placement of concrete is required. The operator ensures that the concrete is pumped smoothly and efficiently, minimizing waste and maintaining safety at all times.
Key duties include setting up the concrete pump, connecting pipes and hoses, coordinating with the mixer truck driver, and controlling the boom or pipeline direction during pouring. The operator must monitor the flow rate, prevent blockages, and clean the pump and accessories after each use. Coordination with site supervisors and crew members is vital to ensure that placement is done according to technical plans and timelines. Preventive maintenance of the pump system and reporting mechanical issues are also part of the role.
