Job Description:
The Water Quality Technician in Madinat ash Shamal is responsible for assessing, monitoring, and ensuring the safety and purity of water used in construction projects, residential infrastructure, and public facilities. This role plays an integral part in supporting environmental compliance and protecting public health by conducting water testing and implementing water treatment procedures.
Key responsibilities include collecting water samples from pipelines, reservoirs, and distribution systems, analyzing them for contaminants such as bacteria, chemicals, and heavy metals, and ensuring compliance with Qatar’s water quality standards. The technician prepares detailed reports of findings, calibrates and maintains testing equipment, and collaborates with engineers and environmental authorities to address any water quality issues. Additional duties involve assisting in water purification processes, monitoring chlorine levels, and participating in emergency response during contamination incidents.
The technician will also provide input into improving water system designs and maintenance schedules to enhance safety and efficiency across projects. Working both in the field and in laboratory environments, the technician must adhere strictly to safety and quality protocols.
