Job Description:
The Crane Operator in Al Shamal, Russia, is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes on construction sites to lift, move, position, or place materials and equipment. This role plays a crucial part in supporting construction activities by ensuring heavy loads are handled with precision and in compliance with safety standards.
Key responsibilities include operating mobile, tower, or overhead cranes based on project requirements; performing daily equipment checks; verifying load weights; and following hand signals or radio commands from riggers and supervisors. The Crane Operator must strictly adhere to load charts and operational guidelines to prevent accidents and damage.
The role also involves maintaining operational logs, reporting mechanical issues, and ensuring proper rigging before lifting operations. The operator must coordinate closely with site teams to time lifts effectively and avoid site disruption or safety risks.
Job Requirement:
Education: High school diploma or technical/vocational training in crane operation.
Experience: 3–5 years of experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings.
Skills:
Proficient in operating various types of cranes (tower, mobile, overhead).
Knowledge of lifting techniques, rigging practices, and load limitations.
Strong understanding of Russian construction safety codes and operational regulations.
Ability to read lift plans and communicate effectively with ground teams.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
Language: Basic proficiency in Russian for site communication and safety compliance.
