Job Description:

The Rough Carpenter in Al Rayyan, Russia, is responsible for constructing the foundational frameworks and structural elements of buildings during the early phases of construction. This includes framing walls, floors, roofs, partitions, staircases, and other load-bearing wooden structures that provide the essential support for the project.

Key responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and construction drawings, measuring and cutting lumber, assembling framing components, and securely fastening them using nails, bolts, and brackets. The Rough Carpenter collaborates with site engineers, foremen, and other trades to ensure structural integrity, alignment, and durability in accordance with Russian building codes and project specifications.

This role requires work in a variety of outdoor and indoor environments, often involving scaffolding, elevated platforms, and uneven terrain. Accuracy in measurements and cuts is critical to prevent structural errors and delays in later construction phases.

Job Requirement:

Education: High school diploma or technical training in carpentry or construction.

Experience: 2–4 years of experience in rough carpentry or structural woodwork.

Skills:

Proficient in using saws, nail guns, measuring tools, and framing squares.

Strong understanding of structural framing techniques.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

Knowledge of Russian construction and safety regulations.

Familiarity with wood types and moisture content requirements.

Language: Basic Russian proficiency to understand safety instructions and communicate with the team.

Other Requirements:

Good physical strength and balance for working at heights and lifting heavy materials.

Strict adherence to site safety protocols and PPE.

Teamwork and reliability in a fast-paced construction environment.

Flexibility to adapt to evolving construction needs and schedules.
