Job Description:
The Urban Planner plays a key role in shaping sustainable and efficient urban development projects across Russia. Working closely with architects, engineers, and local authorities, the planner develops land use plans, zoning regulations, and infrastructure proposals to support community growth while balancing environmental and economic factors. Responsibilities include conducting site analyses, assessing environmental impacts, and preparing detailed urban design plans.
The planner ensures projects comply with Russian urban planning standards and policies, coordinating with stakeholders to integrate transportation, housing, and commercial development needs. The role involves reviewing development proposals, facilitating public consultations, and recommending improvements for urban spaces. Using GIS and CAD tools, the planner models spatial layouts and forecasts growth patterns to aid decision-making.
This position requires a focus on sustainability, land use optimization, and infrastructure resilience to support Russia’s expanding cities. Collaboration with government agencies and private developers is essential to deliver projects that enhance livability and economic vitality.
Job Requirement:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in urban planning or related roles within construction or government sectors.
Skills:
Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, and urban design software.
Strong knowledge of Russian urban development laws and environmental regulations.
Ability to analyze demographic, environmental, and economic data to inform planning decisions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Capable of preparing detailed technical reports and presentations.
Project management experience is a plus.
Language: Fluency in Russian; English proficiency is advantageous for multinational projects.
