We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative Agri-Food Research Scientist to join our team and contribute to advancing sustainable food production within Singapore’s Agriculture & Fisheries industry. The Agri-Food Research Scientist will focus on researching and developing agricultural food products, processes, and technologies that enhance food quality, safety, and nutritional value while promoting sustainable practices.
Key responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments on crop-based food ingredients, post-harvest technologies, food preservation, and processing methods. The scientist will analyze the nutritional composition, sensory attributes, and shelf life of agricultural food products, as well as develop solutions to reduce food waste and enhance food security.
The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of agronomists, biotechnologists, and food technologists to integrate innovative technologies such as precision agriculture, biofortification, and sustainable packaging into the agri-food value chain. The scientist will ensure that all research and product development activities comply with Singapore’s food safety regulations, sustainability guidelines, and quality standards.
