Job Description:

We are hiring an Apparel Pattern Designer to join our creative team in Barcelona. This role involves transforming fashion concepts and sketches into technical patterns that guide the entire garment production process. Your work will directly impact the structure, fit, and production efficiency of each garment.

As an Apparel Pattern Designer, you will interpret design briefs, create detailed flat patterns, and collaborate with garment engineers and sample makers to ensure each piece meets aesthetic and functional requirements. You’ll utilize both manual drafting techniques and CAD software to produce precise patterns.

You will be responsible for revising patterns based on fittings, optimizing pattern layouts for fabric efficiency, and assisting with grading for different sizes. The position also includes testing new pattern techniques and contributing to technical documentation for the manufacturing process.

This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, solid understanding of garment construction, and passion for bringing designs to life through technical expertise.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should hold a degree or diploma in fashion design, pattern making, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience in pattern development.

Proficiency with pattern-making software such as Gerber, Optitex, or Lectra is essential, as well as strong manual drafting and garment construction knowledge. Experience in both woven and knit garments is desirable.

Excellent understanding of sizing systems, grading, and technical fitting is required. Candidates should also be capable of analyzing how fabrics behave and adjusting patterns to match.

The ideal candidate will have strong collaboration skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and excellent communication with designers, sample teams, and production units. Attention to precision and the ability to meet deadlines is essential.
