Job Description:

We are hiring a Cloth Laying Technician to join our textile manufacturing facility in Valencia. This role is essential in preparing fabrics for cutting by accurately laying out cloth according to production specifications, ensuring minimal waste and optimal alignment for quality garment creation.

As a Cloth Laying Technician, you will be responsible for placing fabric rolls on the spreading table, checking for flaws, ensuring grain alignment, and spreading layers evenly and tension-free. You will work closely with cutting room staff and follow markers or templates to ensure correct material positioning.

You’ll operate manual or automated spreading machines and document fabric usage for inventory and production planning. Maintaining cleanliness in the work area, inspecting fabrics for defects, and complying with safety and quality control protocols are also part of your daily responsibilities.

This job is physically active, requiring attention to detail, endurance, and the ability to follow structured procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirement:

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or vocational training in textile operations. Prior experience in garment production, specifically in fabric laying or cutting support, is highly preferred.

A working knowledge of different fabric types, including knits, wovens, and blends, is required. You must understand how fabric behavior can affect lay quality and eventual garment shape. Familiarity with lay markers and cutting room operations is a plus.

Candidates should be physically fit, able to lift and maneuver fabric rolls, and capable of standing for long periods. Attention to detail, precision in alignment, and commitment to avoiding fabric waste are crucial.

Strong teamwork, communication, and willingness to follow safety regulations are also essential. Training will be provided on specialized equipment if necessary.
