Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Edible Mushroom Production Worker to support our mushroom cultivation and harvesting operations in Geneva. This role is essential to ensuring the successful growth, quality control, and packaging of edible mushroom varieties such as oyster, shiitake, and button mushrooms. The worker will operate within indoor growing environments and follow strict hygiene and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities include preparing and loading substrates, inoculating mushroom cultures, maintaining optimal temperature and humidity conditions, and regularly inspecting crops for health and maturity. The worker will also be responsible for harvesting mushrooms at the appropriate stage, performing quality checks, and sorting and packaging the final product for market distribution.
The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures precisely, and a willingness to work in humid and low-light environments. Basic manual handling skills and a good work ethic are essential.
This is a full-time, hands-on role offering valuable experience in sustainable food production and specialty agriculture.
