The Event Operations Manager in Zurich plays a central role in coordinating and executing various hospitality events including conferences, weddings, galas, and corporate gatherings. This position involves managing event logistics from start to finish—overseeing schedules, liaising with clients, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring smooth operations on-site. The manager is responsible for maintaining high service standards, working with kitchen and service staff, supervising setup and teardown, and handling any unforeseen issues. This professional must ensure that all events comply with safety regulations and meet client expectations. A successful candidate will combine creativity with strong organizational and leadership skills to deliver seamless event experiences.

  • Proven experience in event planning or event operations, preferably in hospitality or tourism

  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and resolve problems efficiently

  • Familiarity with event planning software and tools

  • Fluency in English and German; other language skills are an advantage

  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

  • Degree or diploma in Hospitality, Event Management, or related field preferred
