Job Description:

Job Description: Food Quality Assurance Specialist – Zurich (Agriculture & Fisheries Industry)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist to join our team in Zurich, within the Agriculture & Fisheries industry. This role is essential to ensuring that all food products—particularly those derived from agricultural and aquaculture sources—meet strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards from production through to distribution.

The QA Specialist will be responsible for implementing and monitoring quality assurance systems, conducting inspections, overseeing lab testing, and ensuring compliance with Swiss and EU food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000). Key responsibilities include auditing internal processes, evaluating supplier quality, investigating non-conformities, and developing corrective and preventive measures.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in food science, microbiology, or a related field, with practical experience in food safety and quality control within the agriculture or food production sector. Familiarity with sustainable and organic certification standards is a plus.

Excellent analytical and organizational skills are essential, along with clear communication and reporting abilities. Proficiency in German is required; English or French is an asset. A valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship is mandatory.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the safety and quality of Switzerland’s agricultural food supply.
