Job Description:

Job Description: Food Safety Compliance Officer – Geneva (Agriculture & Fisheries Industry)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Food Safety Compliance Officer to join our team in Geneva, working within the Agriculture & Fisheries industry. This role is responsible for ensuring that all food production, processing, and distribution activities comply with Swiss and EU food safety regulations and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and enforcing compliance with food safety laws, conducting audits and inspections, reviewing HACCP plans, and supporting certification processes such as ISO 22000 or GlobalG.A.P. The officer will work closely with production teams, quality assurance staff, and regulatory bodies to identify risks, investigate non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, public health, or food science, with hands-on experience in regulatory compliance and risk management in the food or agricultural sector. Familiarity with traceability systems, allergen control, and labeling regulations is essential.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are required. Proficiency in French is mandatory; English is a plus. A valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship is required.

This full-time role offers the opportunity to play a critical part in maintaining public health and food integrity in Geneva’s agricultural and food production environment.
