Job Description: General Crop Farm Worker – Zurich (Agriculture & Fisheries Industry)
We are currently hiring a motivated General Crop Farm Worker to support our agricultural operations in Zurich, within the Agriculture & Fisheries sector. This position involves assisting with the full cycle of crop production, including soil preparation, planting, irrigation, fertilization, pest control, and harvesting of crops such as grains, vegetables, and fruits.
The successful candidate will operate and maintain farm machinery and tools, follow safety and environmental guidelines, and ensure efficient use of resources. Responsibilities also include monitoring crop health, identifying signs of disease or pests, and maintaining accurate records of field activities and inputs.
The role requires working outdoors in all weather conditions, often during early mornings or extended hours during peak seasons. A strong work ethic, physical stamina, and attention to detail are essential. Familiarity with sustainable farming practices and modern agricultural techniques is a plus.
Applicants should have basic knowledge of crop production or a willingness to learn through hands-on training. Prior experience in farming or agricultural work is preferred but not required. Proficiency in German or English is advantageous. A valid Swiss work permit or EU citizenship is mandatory.
