We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Veterinary Field Assistant to support veterinary and livestock health operations within the agricultural sector in Geneva. This hands-on role involves working in field environments to assist veterinarians and animal health teams in delivering essential care to farm animals.
Key responsibilities include preparing and organizing equipment for farm visits, assisting with routine health checks, administering medications and vaccines under supervision, collecting samples, and maintaining accurate animal health records. The Veterinary Field Assistant will also support disease prevention activities, follow biosecurity protocols, and communicate effectively with farmers and livestock handlers.
The role requires physical stamina, the ability to travel to rural areas around Geneva, and flexibility with work hours, including early mornings and occasional weekends. A strong interest in animal welfare, attention to detail, and the ability to follow veterinary guidance are critical.
Prior experience in veterinary support, agriculture, or livestock care is beneficial, but not mandatory, as training will be provided. Working knowledge of German or French is preferred.
