Job Description: As an Aquatic Ecologist, you will study and analyze aquatic ecosystems, including rivers, lakes, wetlands, and marine environments. Your role will involve conducting field surveys, collecting water and sediment samples, and monitoring water quality parameters. You will analyze data, assess the health of aquatic communities, and evaluate the impacts of human activities on aquatic ecosystems. Additionally, you may be involved in habitat restoration projects, biodiversity assessments, and the development of conservation strategies. Your work may also include conducting research, preparing scientific reports, and presenting findings to stakeholders. Strong knowledge of aquatic ecology, data analysis techniques, and a passion for environmental conservation are essential for success in this role.

Job Requirement: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related field. Experience in aquatic ecology research, preferably in freshwater or marine ecosystems. Knowledge of aquatic sampling techniques, water quality analysis, and biodiversity assessment methods. Proficiency in statistical analysis software and GIS for data processing and mapping. Understanding of ecological concepts, community dynamics, and the impacts of human activities on aquatic ecosystems. Strong fieldwork skills, including experience with boat-based surveys, aquatic organism identification, and sampling protocols. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret ecological data and draw meaningful conclusions. Good communication and technical writing skills to convey research findings and recommendations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with researchers and stakeholders. Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and environmental policies related to aquatic ecosystems. Willingness to travel to field sites and work in diverse environmental conditions. Commitment to environmental stewardship and promoting the conservation and sustainable management of aquatic resources.
