Job Description: As an Arborist, you will be responsible for the care, maintenance, and management of trees in various environments. Your role will involve assessing tree health, diagnosing diseases or pest infestations, and recommending appropriate treatment options. You will conduct tree pruning, trimming, and removals while adhering to industry standards and safety protocols. Additionally, you may be involved in tree planting, transplanting, and tree risk assessments. Your work may require the operation of specialized equipment, such as chainsaws and aerial lifts, to access and work on trees at various heights. Strong knowledge of tree biology, pruning techniques, and safe working practices is crucial for success in this role.
Job Requirement: Certification as an Arborist by the International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) or equivalent is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent (Degree or coursework in arboriculture, forestry, or a related field is a plus). Experience in tree care, pruning, and removals. Knowledge of tree species identification, growth habits, and common diseases or pests. Familiarity with pruning techniques, including knowledge of proper cuts and tree biology. Ability to safely operate and maintain tree care equipment and tools. Physical fitness and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose tree health issues and recommend appropriate treatments. Good communication skills to interact with clients and provide advice on tree care practices. Understanding of safety procedures and regulations related to tree care operations. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different job sites. Willingness to continuously learn and stay updated with industry best practices and new techniques in arboriculture.
