Job Description: As a Beekeeper Assistant, you will support the beekeeper in the day-to-day management and care of bee colonies. Your responsibilities will include assisting with hive inspections, feeding bees, monitoring and treating for pests and diseases, and maintaining hive equipment. You will help in honey harvesting, extracting, and processing, as well as packaging and labeling honey products. Additionally, you may assist with swarm collection, queen rearing, and the installation of new bee colonies. Your role may also involve participating in educational outreach programs and providing information to the public about bees and their importance in pollination. Strong attention to detail, a willingness to work outdoors, and a passion for beekeeping and environmental stewardship are essential for success in this role.

Job Requirement: High school diploma or equivalent (Experience or coursework in beekeeping or agriculture is a plus). Physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions. Basic knowledge of beekeeping practices and hive management. Familiarity with bee behavior, honeybee pests, and diseases. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Attention to detail to identify and address hive issues. Good communication skills to collaborate with the beekeeper and other team members. Knowledge of hive equipment and basic maintenance. Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and practices in beekeeping. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform tasks requiring manual labor. Valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different apiary sites. Commitment to safety protocols and the well-being of the bees. Passion for bees, environmental conservation, and the importance of pollinators.
