Job Description:
We are hiring a visionary Chief Data Officer (CDO) to lead our enterprise-wide data strategy and governance. Based in Munich, the CDO will be responsible for maximizing the value of our data assets, driving innovation, and ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations.
As the CDO, you will develop and implement the organization’s data vision, policies, and standards to ensure high-quality, accessible, and secure data across departments. You will oversee data governance, architecture, analytics, and engineering teams, ensuring seamless collaboration and data-driven decision-making across all business units.
The role involves identifying opportunities to monetize data, improve operational efficiency, and empower teams with insights. You will be expected to build a strong data culture, enabling scalability and digital transformation in a highly regulated and competitive environment.
Job Requirement:
The ideal candidate should have a Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field, with at least 12–15 years of experience in data leadership roles, preferably in large-scale organizations.
You must demonstrate expertise in data governance frameworks, cloud data platforms, AI/ML applications, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, etc.). Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and implementing enterprise data strategies is essential.
Strong leadership, strategic planning, and communication skills are required. Fluency in English is mandatory, and German proficiency is a strong plus.
