Job Description:
We are looking for a Forensic Scientist in Frankfurt am Main to join our crime laboratory unit. In this role, you will analyze physical evidence collected from crime scenes, including biological samples, chemical substances, fibers, fingerprints, and digital traces. You will provide accurate, timely, and legally admissible forensic reports that support law enforcement and judicial proceedings.
Your duties include performing laboratory testing using advanced analytical instruments such as GC-MS, FTIR, and DNA sequencers. You'll also be responsible for documenting your findings clearly and possibly providing expert testimony in court when needed. Collaboration with law enforcement and case officers is a critical part of this position.
Job Requirement:
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Forensic Science, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline is essential. You should have 3–6 years of experience working in a forensic laboratory setting or crime investigation support role.
You must be well-versed in ISO 17025 laboratory accreditation standards, chain of custody protocols, and quality control procedures. Practical experience with forensic instruments and crime scene investigation procedures is important. Strong analytical skills, objectivity, and the ability to communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats are required.
