Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate Human-Centered Designer to join our interdisciplinary innovation team. In this role, you will design products, services, and experiences that prioritize empathy, accessibility, and human impact. Using design thinking methodologies, you’ll lead and contribute to projects from research through ideation, prototyping, and delivery—always centering user needs, emotions, and behaviors.
You’ll collaborate with researchers, engineers, strategists, and product managers to address complex challenges across industries including healthcare, fintech, education, and public services. You will translate qualitative insights into actionable design opportunities and create solutions that are intuitive, inclusive, and scalable.
You’ll also conduct workshops, user interviews, co-creation sessions, and journey mapping to ensure meaningful engagement with end users. This role blends creativity with problem-solving and demands a passion for social innovation and systemic thinking.
Job Requirement:
A degree in Design, Psychology, Human Factors, Anthropology, or a related field is required, with 3–7 years of experience in service design, product design, or UX with a human-centered focus.
You must have strong facilitation skills and experience with methods like empathy mapping, persona development, storyboarding, and low- to high-fidelity prototyping. Familiarity with Figma, Miro, Adobe CC, and usability testing tools is important.
You should have experience working on cross-functional teams, be comfortable presenting to stakeholders, and demonstrate a track record of turning human insights into well-executed design solutions. A portfolio or case study documentation is essential.
Empathy, communication, curiosity, and resilience are must-haves. Experience working with diverse populations or in social innovation settings is a plus. Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German is advantageous.
