Job Description:
We are hiring a Sustainable Packaging Designer to lead eco-conscious packaging innovations that reduce environmental impact while maintaining brand aesthetics and functionality. You will develop designs that use recyclable, biodegradable, or reusable materials, working closely with product teams, sustainability officers, and manufacturers.
Your role will involve designing packaging structures, researching alternative materials, creating life-cycle assessments, and ensuring compliance with evolving sustainability regulations. You’ll play a crucial part in driving circular design thinking within the organization and educating stakeholders on eco-design best practices.
This position demands a balance between design creativity and deep understanding of environmental impact.
Job Requirement:
A degree in Packaging Design, Sustainable Design, or Environmental Science is preferred, with 3–6 years of experience in packaging with a sustainability focus.
Knowledge of sustainable materials (e.g., mushroom packaging, bioplastics, FSC-certified paper), regulatory frameworks (e.g., EPR), and industry standards is critical. Proficiency in tools like ArtiosCAD, Adobe Illustrator, and LCA software is desirable. Candidates must have strong collaboration and communication skills. A portfolio with sustainable packaging projects or case studies is required.
