The Forklift Truck Operator in Rome plays a critical role in supporting the logistics and warehouse operations of the Agriculture & Fisheries industry. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, movement, and storage of goods such as agricultural produce, packaged seafood, fertilizers, equipment, and other sector-related materials within storage facilities, processing centers, and distribution hubs.
Key duties include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, stack and organize pallets, transfer goods between workstations, and assist in inventory management. The operator ensures that perishable or sensitive goods are handled in accordance with safety and quality standards, especially when working in cold storage or environmentally controlled areas.
Routine maintenance checks of the forklift and adherence to safety protocols are essential to avoid accidents and damage to goods. The operator may also assist with general warehouse tasks, including packaging, labeling, and order preparation.
Candidates should possess a valid forklift operating license and demonstrate experience in warehouse or agricultural logistics environments. Attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work both independently and within a team are important.
