Job Description:
The Asphalt Paving Operator in Al Ahmadi is responsible for operating paving machines to lay asphalt on roads, parking lots, and other surfaces with precision and consistency. This role involves adjusting the machine’s speed, depth, and temperature settings to ensure a smooth and even surface. Operators must coordinate with the ground crew and monitor material flow to prevent defects or waste.
Daily tasks include inspecting the paving machine for maintenance issues, cleaning equipment, and adjusting screeds for proper thickness and width. Operators must interpret job site plans and follow safety regulations throughout the paving process.
Job Requirement:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or training in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
3+ years of experience operating paving machinery in a road construction setting.
Knowledge of asphalt mixtures, paving techniques, and surface finishing.
Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and layout plans.
Mechanical skills for adjusting and maintaining equipment.
Excellent hand-eye coordination and situational awareness.
Familiarity with safety and traffic control procedures.
Ability to work long hours in outdoor and high-temperature conditions.
Team player with strong communication skills.
